We have a teen at Brandywine who is willing to help homeowners get some work done over summer! Ishan (pronounced – E-shawn) is 14+ (and a martial arts black belt to boot). He has a “waiver” from CVHS this summer to work/earn. While he is helping out at a local Subway franchise, he is also happy to help neighbors with work such as (a) weeding (b) watering plants (c) spending time with people/chatting/giving company (d) teaching little ones the basics of self-defense, (d) accompanying folks to the public library (he is a voracious reader of ‘real’ books), (e) helping with specific household chores (e.g., retrieving stuff that is stocked high up in the pantry/basement), and (f) helping with / do the grocery  shopping (I can drive Ishan/others to the grocery store most weekdays between 8 am and 5pm since I do not teach face-to-face classes during summer).
The only thing he has not done before is “dog walking”, but having grown up with more than one pet dog, his father can help him with that if need be.
Ishan is 14, so he does not quite have a “fee”. He says if you are happy with his work – pay him what you think is good/fair.
Contact: Dhiman Chattopadhyay; 1455 Amherst Ct (419-819-1227). Ishan has his own cell phone too, to be used in need.
